Cannot load user's profile
Recently from past couple of weeks I am getting some kind of error message when my system boots up and the error states "Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system." Also, it will take 3 minutes after choosing my profile for this message to appear. I have got Windows XP with Media Center Edition installed on my computer and any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks
Re: Cannot load user's profile
I think that the profile account that you are using might be corrupted so what you can do is simply create a new profile account and then delete the old one.
Re: Cannot load user's profile
Can you tell me how am I suppose to do that without losing any of my documents and other information and data stored in the drive?
Re: Cannot load user's profile
You can easily copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile in Windows XP. First of all you need to create a new user profile, follow the below steps:
- Log on as the Administrator or as a user with administrator credentials.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click User Accounts.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then click Advanced.
- In the left pane, click the Users folder.
- On the Action menu, click New User.
- Enter the appropriate user information, and then click Create.
After that follow more steps given on this website - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151
