event id 10005 dcom error message
Hi, I have a laptop running with Windows XP Service Pack 2. Don’t know why I keep getting this error several times a day in my Event Viewer:
DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service MDM with arguments "" in order to run the server:{0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064}
Furthermore let me tell you that I MDM is disabled on my system because I read somewhere I guy saying it is not required on Windows XP based system. So any idea what could be causing that error message on my system so many times every day?
Thanks for all your helps.

You need to open a run command and then type in: services.msc and then click ok, on the services control panel ensure this service is started automatically - Machine Debug Manager - Start Auto. It is located in the below path:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\mdm.exe"

RE: event id 10005 dcom error message
Thanks but I know how to turn it on. The question that I am having is that why do I need it and why do I keep getting the error message all of a sudden? I have got computer for 6-7 months now and this is the first time I am seeing this kind of message so many times?
