I am using a card reader and am trying to install a sd card which is not recognizing in the computer. In Windows 2000 it was recognizing properly but not in Windows Vista. Can anyone tell me how do i get this sd card to read in the computer.

Can you check in the Device Manager if it is able to pick up or is reading the SD card from the reader? It will tell you whether there is some problem with this device or some error codes or perhaps a driver will be needed. And this driver can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website easily. Also, microsoft has released a hotfix for this issue that you can download from this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936825
