I am using a Media Center Pc with Black Gold Digital Tuner. And I am trying to watch a DVD using the Media Center but it is always giving me some Decode Error malfunction or not installed? I am also trying to watch the DVD with Windows Media Player 10 but the same Decoder error pops up all the time. Can anyone help me out.
You will need to check the MPEG2/DVD decoder if you are running Media Center Edition 2005 with this tool here - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=9817. The Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility helps you determine if an MPEG-2 video decoder (also called a DVD decoder) is installed on your Windows XP computer and whether or not the decoder is compatible with Windows Media Player 10 and Windows XP Media Center Edition.
Thanks for the suggestions, I have downloaded the tool to check my MPEG-2 Decoder and checked out that there are no MPEG-2 Decoder installed on my computer? So can you tell me how to get this free MPEG-2 Decoder.
