Stop:0x0000007b(0x81e03ba0,0xc0000034,0x00000000,0 x00000000)

I have installed windows vista recently and today while booting in to windows i got an error saying "STOP:0X0000007B(0X81E03BA0,0XC0000034,0X00000000,0X00000000)" . I have tried rebooting my system but that's not making any difference. Is there anything i need to check out out or try out?

You can try running Startup Repair tool using Windows Vista installation disc or using preinstalled recovery options if your system has it. You can refer to below article for running both options.

Stop:0x0000007b(0x81e03ba0,0xc0000034,0x00000000,0 x00000000) error message occurs if you might have installed incorrect device drivers when installing or upgrading storage adapter hardware. In order to fix this you will have to store correct controller drivers on floppy or USB and point installer to install then during Vista install via 'Load drivers' button.

I see many other threads related to this error in this forum, just do a search in forum for Stop:0x0000007b and go through the threads that come up in search and see if you are getting any help from them.

I had faced same error previously after a month of installing vista , in my case Vista was not able to recognize the drive as ACPI had got set to "auto" rather than "compatible". I dont know how, may be some one messed with bios setting in my system. Later after trying out a number of troubleshooting i was finally able to get the system boot properly after setting up bios to "compatible". So just check out the Hard Drive SATA settings in BIOS and check out if you are running in to similar case.If not then you can try out the solution that have been mentioned by other members here.
