Outlook 2003 Contacts Transfer to Outlook 2007
I have recently bought a new HP Media center computer that came preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Premium. . I have also got an older pc which is a Dell computer that has Windows XP home and Outlook 2003 on it and I have 150 contacts on this system. So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me a way to transfer this 150 contacts to the new pc with Outlook 2007. Thanks for any help.

First of all in your Outlook 2003, click on File and then Export and then go to file and then select the .pst file. Now you have to select to only export the Contacts if you would like. Then you have to open Outlook 2007 and then click on File and then Import and then from file you have to navigate to your saved .pst file. Incase you need for information then check out the Outlook's help for import contacts.

There is no cable with me to hook up to the computer with Outlook 2007 from the pc with Outlook 2003. I was thinking of creating a .pst file to be placed on a CD and then move it to the new computer? Will that be fine. Thanks

Oh yeah, you can also try to put it on a usb flash drive incase if it is not a big file or you can obviously buy a flash drive with lots of space indeed. After that you can try to copy the file to a place on the local hard drive before importing it again.
