I figured that it would still have a virus somewhere in my system but my virus scanner ESET NOD32 isnt picking up anything
Have you tried to scan your system with updated antivirus (ESET NOD32, is that updated.?)? Because many times old version (not having latest updates), can't catch the virus. So update it first. Otherwise, your problem does not seem to be the fault of a virus, but rather an anomaly in the management of icons. If your icons are set for "miniature", tried to put in "icon" or "list", because very often, an image processing software added disrupts the management of windows icon.
Re: Windows Explorer (Not Responding)
No matter your windows system is XP, Win7, or Vista, the easiest way to speed up your PC, make it get rid of freezing up is have a PC cleaner in it; you can try the software "tuneup360". My friends and I all use it, it's seems really useful.
