Missing sys32/drivers/matrixfg.sys error on starting Windows Vista
I am getting a error message that some matrixfg.sys file is damaged and it is causing error on boot. I am using Windows Vista and it is not a very old system. I had just installed the fresh copy a few months ago. I am having a RAID 0 setup also. I had upgraded Vista from XP. I think the issue lies there. On XP there were no problems and no error. I am suspicious about the compatibility.

I am no techie but I had similar issues after upgrading from Vista home to Ultimate with SP1. Found this fix and out of desperation I tried it and it worked.
1. On startup select F12.
2. Select BIOS setup
3. Onboard Devices
4. Flash cache OFF
5. select SATA Operation Change from AHCI to ATA
6. restart
Viola!
