Viewing video from JVC hard drive camcorder
Recently we had bought a JVC Hard Drive GZ-MG57U camcorder and recorded few videos on the last trip. There are about 30 videos in mov format and they are playing fine in the JVC program. But when I try playing the same in Windows Media Player it is unable to recognize. Also Windows Movie Maker cannot recognize it.
I changed the file format (encode) from MOV to AVI and now when try to play in WMP, it says that can't play the file as Windows does not recognize the codec (using RAD video tools). Damn, its very frustrating.
Can you guys please suggest me something?
Re: Viewing video from JVC hard drive camcorder
In order to play MOV or AVI files on windows media player you first need their codec to be installed on your system. By taking codec, it could be Klite or Dvix. Just Google for the same, download and install. Now try playing the videos, it should play without any problem.
Re: Viewing video from JVC hard drive camcorder
I need the same kind of camcorder to work with iMovie '08 (Mac computer). And I'm having the same problem where the video content recorded on the hard drive camcorder is not showing up on the computer screen . . . available to download from the camcorder.
