i got a nice Sony Handycam DCR-HC30. these days I'm trying to edit video. For starting i plugged the cable in and when I try to open it up in Microsoft Movie Maker, it says error that "Capture Device Offline." I have it on "play/edit" mode but it still not working . I also tried it in Adobe Premier Elements and got a similar error message.please help me im in big problem

In case you dont like to read manuals i will give you some tips but you have to read the manuals for main information
here some tips you need to set the camera on a certain setting.the cable is called the USB (universal serial bus) most likely a 2.0 (if its a new camera)...you should be having a cd which you got with Handycam use that .
