Java RE not installing properly on Vista Ultimate x64

I need some help with installation of JAVA RE on my system. I am having a pc that has Windows Vista on the same. It is Windows Vista 64bit system. I am here trying to download and install JAVA but it is not working at all. I am having a AMD 64bit processor. I tried to install the same via automatic update but it does not looks to be working well. I need some help here to add JAVA manually but not able to do the same. Can anyone guide me here to fix the issue.

You are getting the issue because you are not installing the right version of JAVA. You have to download the 64bit version of the same specifically or else it will not work. Ample of time due to invalid or incompatible files this kind of errors appear. You must simply go on the official website and download the latest 64bit version manually and then run the setup. I think that would be simply more than enough to fix the issue.
