Error 1913 Installing MS Office Pro on Windows Vista

I am the owner and the only Admin of this Vista ultimate based computer but when I try to install Office 2003 pro, it stucks with an error message saying :

error 1913: setup cannot update fileC:\WINDOWS\system32\mapisvc.inf
Verify that the file exists in ou system and that you have sufficient permission to update it.

Talking about permission, I manually went to that location and took ownership of that particular file but that wasn’t helpful. I also changed the ownership of entire System32 folder but that too dint worked.

What else can I do to get rid of this error ? Somebody please help.

It is a know error for me, faced it couple of months ago while installing Office 2007 on Windows XP. Well I was able to solve it by adding some extra lines in the inf file. You can check this Microsoft Knowledge base article for more help: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318705
