DVD/CD Drive Not Working
I dont know what happened but today when I started my computer, the dvd drive was not appearing in the pc? I checked in Device Manager and there I was able to get a yellow exclamation mark. When I clicked on it then it was showing a message that was "Windows cannot initialize the device driver [code 37]." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device but still the problem exists. Is there any other fix for this issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can try to follow the below method to fix this issue:
- You need to first of all copy and paste the below following text into your Notepad:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]
"UpperFilters"=-
"LowerFilters"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdr4_2K]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdralw2k]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdudf]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UdfReadr]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdr4_xp]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdudf_XP]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UdfReadr_xp]
- After that save the file in the location anywhere on your computer, like desktop. Save this as "CDGONE.txt" file.
- After that click on Start and then in the search bar type regedit and then click in File and then try to use the Import option. Here you have to select the same "CDGONE.txt" file that you have copied and pasted on your desktop and just click on yes to all the warnings that you will get.
- Once it is done, then restart your computer and upon the next boot you will be able to see the CD/DVD drive again in your computer.
