The script \\server\share\Office12\setup.exe /repair ProPlus will provide me option to run repair Office 2007 on different number of workstation. Later on when the repair is completed it will reboot the system. I am here looking some option that can help me to run a silent setup instead of giving any popup or message on the screen. But somehow it looks that it is not working.
You need config.xml for the same. Just check that you had set suppress model to yes and then set the display level and completion notice to no. That would help you for the same. Doing the same in silent mode can be achieved but you need to modify the script and find the right settings.
All settings lies mostly in the config.xml. I had a script which has setup.exe /config \\server\share\office12\ProPlus.WW\config.xml /repairProPlus or simply setup.exe /config \\server\share\office12\ProPlus.WW\config.xml /uninstallProPlus. Both might work but in the other one you need add the silent installation also.
I am bit confuse about the same. For Office 2007 you will need to setup deployment for the LIS. You need to deploy the same to the root which is /MSOCache folder. The following link has entire detail about creating a proper config.xml file to run silent Office installation or repair setup.
