Canon LIDE 25 TWAIN Problems
I am having a Canon LIDE 25 scanner and a desktop that recently installed with Windows Vista. While installing the scanner I searched and found Vista 32bit compatible drivers at Canon Official website. Downloaded the same but while trying to install it fails with an error message saying something like “no TWAIN source detected.” Is there anyone else successfully using Canon scanners with their Vista system ? Can you please help me setting up mine? All helps help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Canon LIDE 25 TWAIN Problems
Well instead of just installing the drivers you must first install the Canon Software. Now to remove the installed drivers (though it failed), go to Canon website and first download Uninstall utility. Install and run the same, and remove everything you see related to Canon.
Make sure you cannon scanner is not plugged with the system, now download Canon Software and Vista drivers from their official page. First install the software and follow the onscreen instructions. Once done, connect the scanner and install the drivers. It should work.
Re: Canon LIDE 25 TWAIN Problems
Hello tynana, I know this is very old thread but did you managed to fix the problem? If not here is what you need to do.
- Download and install the latest TWAIN drivers from Canon.
- Update the driver via DEVICE MANAGER.
- Make sure your LIDE 25 scanner is connected to a PC USB port and not a hub. For some reason Scangear executes a code 2,7,0 error if the scanner is on a hub.
