This driver is blocked due to compatibility issues

I don’t know when did I installed Sonic products on this Vista system but now every now and then I keep getting an error message saying:

This driver is blocked due to compatibility issues
Driver: Sonic Solutions DLA
Publisher: Sonic Solutions
Location: Not Available

I don’t want to fix this driver, but I actually want to remove it from my system as I don’t need it any more. I searched for it in Add/Remove programs and Device manager but dnt found it anywhere to remove. Also there is no information about the same in Event log.

Can anyone please tell me how can I remove this driver to get rid of the error message? Many thanks.

I think that the driver is already removed and there is some program which requires the same and hence you getting the said error. Now it is very difficult to find out which is that program which requires the same. What you can do is download and run TuneUp Utilities. This will help you analyze and fix the problems like this.

That true Landon, there is some program that requires the driver and most probably that would be any Roxio or Stomp programs. Also K-Mind, how can you say that you wont need that products any more? Do you know which program is using this driver?

I found an article on Dell support that says “Microsoft Windows Vista Reports Sonic or Roxio Software as Incompatible” and they also have a solution for the same. Just follow the steps mentioned here about the Sonic update http://support.dell.com/support/topi...&isLegacy=true
