Messenger error code 80048862

I am trying to install the new edition of Windows Live Messenger. The version is 8.1. After installing it is not working. When I try to login with my details I am getting a error code on my screen. The error code is 80048862. I am getting this constantly but somehow it is not working well. I had changed the firewall and many more settings but nothing works here. I had even changed the antivirus that I was using. Can anyone tell me the problem behind the same.

I think Windows update can fix the issue. There can be some issue with functioning of Windows Live Messenger. It is essential that you must simply re-install it. But before you can perform a windows update to ensure that all files and stuff are proper. Or else the problem will be common. If last nothing work simply re-install and try a older version this time. Compare to new one old one is much better and stable.
