Cannot Mirror Desktop in Vista Home Premium
I upgraded my pc from Windows XP to Vista by cleanly installing the OS with 2 displays. Automatically, the desktop is extended to the second display when it setup. After that I disconnected the second display and removed it from the device manager. After restarting the pc this device was not listed anymore in Device Manager. After that I again plugged in the second display and it again reverted to the extended desktop. I have read from many forums that mirrored desktops are normally set at default and to achieve this we have to first connect the device. So, can anyone tell me how do i reset the second display to be mirrored, thanks for any help.
RE: Cannot Mirror Desktop in Vista Home Premium
There is a solution to this problem, all you have to do is download the updated nVidia drivers that are Vista certified and then install it. After that, in the nVidia Control Panel you will have the options to set up the monitor. In any case, it is really annoying to use another application when there is the capability in the built in Windows Vista.

When you go into the Control Panel, then check on the left side, you will be able to see the menu of "Tasks". Here you will see from that task that one is for "Connect to a projector or other external display". So once you select it then you will get a dialogue that lets you to change the mirrored or extended desktop. Hope that this helps.
