I am facing strange problem with Internet Explorer on my Windows XP computer. About a month ago I set my office website as home page (for example xyz.com). Now I want to change it to something else but when I go to internet Options> Home Page, all the options are grayed out. Completely unclickable. The only is when I launch IE, I need to type the web address I want to visit manually only after the home page loads completely.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Most likely your computer is infected with any Virus or Malware. You should run deep scan of the system using updated Antivirus. If it wont solve the problem, simply reset Internet explorer.
Hello Domi.nick, thanks a lot for you reply friend, but that dint helped. I scanned the system with Norton but it dint found anything malicious.
Also I would like to tell that the problem actually started when I clicked a URL from yahoo IM window that (instead of opening the page) opened my home page.
I’ll suggest you two things. First scan your system with superantispyware, Spybot S&D, and lavasoft adaware and second reset your internet explorer or better try re-installing it. If you still face the same problem than the only way is reformat your C drive because am sure your system is badly infected.
