WMP11 cannot delete library

This is windows xp media center edition 2005 which was running Media Player 10 until yesterday, today I upgraded the same to version 11. There was no problem in the upgrade process. But now when am trying to delete or add something in its library it just wont allow me to do the same.

Somebody please help me out.

Hi, just try out the following steps:

• Exit Windows Media Player.
• For Windows XP:
• Click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

This will help WMP to rebuild its database again. Once done, restart the PC and see if you still get the same problem.

Hello IndrneeL, i was also facing the same problem after upgrading from WMP 9 to directly WMP 11. When i searched on web i came through an KB article that fixed the problem. You should check this out as well:
