I am not able to install Microsoft Office 2007 Pro on my system. And I doing the same over Office 2003 Pro. I begin with running fresh updates on this Office suite. But the updates did not worked. There was issue with that. In Event ID the error mentioned is 5000. It was related to some issue with internal dlls. I cannot go with upgrades before getting all the updates installed and I worry that the upgrades might also crash instantly. What will the best way to get right updates installed.
The issue can be with patches. You can do two things here. First either download the updates manually from web and install them. Second simply disable your Antivirus for a while and then check back. That will be more helpful I think. There are chances that your antivirus application is blocking the updates and patches.
It's because your installing it on a Terminal Server with relaxed security.
