Here's how to make a Logitech Quickcam Orbit/Sphere webcam work with Vista

Many of you might be struggling to install Logitech Quickcam Orbit in your system. I am also on the same path. After working for hours, I was able to install the same and hope that this is going to work well. I am having Windows Vista system. So the steps that are mentioned below are mostly for Vista. To make the camera work you just require to install the drivers only. Do not install the complete package. Just the driver. There is a driver folder which is created by the setup. Run the setup and then do not complete it. Just terminate it at the end. It will create a Program Files\Logitech\Webinstall folder where the setup carries the driver. You have to copy that folder and keep somewhere on your desktop. Connect the webcam and follow New Hardware Wizard. Browse the folder that you copied recently and your driver will be installed.

Thanks a lot for the step. This worked on my laptop. I am trying to use the camera on it. But on my desktop it worked just by installing the CD setup. It was detected automatically and was installed. It looks Vista faces some kind of issue with driver compatibility. That is the reason you face this kind of errors.
