A large amount of memory is committed to applications and process.
I am running SBS 2003 Standard with 4gb of memory and I am receiving the same alert which is written in the title every 4 hours or so. The posts have recommended monitoring usage and if the server is running properly that fudges the alert threshold. The server doesnt have any other errors and seems to be running fine, ofcourse we havent started using Exchange Server yet, but will soon. You can see from the list below its not the store.exe hogging the memory but rather the sqlserver instance related to SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING and SMEX_Master that lists N/A when you run the tasklist /svc command. Can anyone tell me whether this is normal usage, if yes, then do I need to adjust the alert threshold and move on? The top 5 processes by memory usage is:
Process Name - ID Memory Usage
sqlservr - 904 263 MB
SMEX_Master - 2356 116 MB
sqlservr - 924 77 MB
services - 1092 72 MB
store - 5392 69 MB
Any ideas? Thanks

You can disable the alert that you are getting or change its threshold by using the Change Alert Notifications task in the Server Management Monitoring and Reporting taskpad. Just go to the below link and follow the method suggested over there - http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archi...07/433707.aspx

The SBS monitoring seems to be a bit high and can be easily stomped on, by following this link - http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/arch.../04/34984.aspx
