I bought a new Dell Latitude D620 laptop with Windows XP yesterday. I have checked and understood its all features and option except one, which is fingerprint scanner. Yeah, it has the built in fingerprint scanner.
Is this is very new feature for me I wanted to know how can I use it? Also how and where can I learn more about this? Thanks in advance.
Dint you received any manual with the laptop? They use to mention each and everything in that manual. Just check it.

The security management software is designed to utilize four different features to help you secure your computer:
- Log-in management
- Pre-boot authentication (using a fingerprint reader, smart card, or password)
- Encryption
- Private information management
First-of-all you register your fingerprint by a software which install in them after register your fingerprint then u can access your pc. But for windows security what u do you have to take device which will work as a fingerprint scanner you can also protect your files and folder.
Does it incorporate life detection technology?
