I am using a Asus board and after upgrading to Vista the onboard audio failed to work. I found a common drive on Realtek but somehow the driver is not installable. I tried to locate proper drivers but nothing worked out. I am looking for a appropriate driver that can allow me to use audio drivers. I am quiet annoyed with the same. While the same was working very well on Windows XP.
I am getting a similar error. But the problem here lies with Windows Vista 64bit. It is very complicated to find drivers for a 64bit system compared to a 32bit. For audio driver you have to find the chipset manufacturer website. You can look on the vendor site of motherboard. There you will be able to locate right drivers and it will help you.
I am trying to struggle with RTL8187 driver. I want this for XP 64bit. The one that I had downloaded does not really work with XP. It looks there is some kind of major compatibility bug with the drivers. Even Realtek does not interested to be working with the same.
well, the x64 bit of vista still has a lot of driver problems, i had used it for a week, and got rid of it and downgraded to the x86, and that's doing a lot better with all my drivers, EXCEPT the RTL8187 wifi, because i can't find the damn driver for vista
Tried some default motherboard drivers. And they worked. It look Windows XP is quiet compatible with the same. I had managed to run a proper driver setup on XP. I already gave up installing this on Windows Vista. Because it is too buggy and simply nothings work on it.
