As of now I have a direct TV box and have ordered a Media Center PC which I’ll be getting in next few days. Now as I’m new for the same I would like to know if there is any wiring diagram available anywhere. Will I need to do wiring from wall into the sat box, or from sat box to input of the media center PC tuner card? Also which will be good between built in tv programming guide and the one on the direct tv box? Thanks in Advance
The best of wiring the same is to start the coax cable from the wall going into "sat in" on the DirecTV box. You can then run coax from your direcTV box to the tuner card. If you need to make it much better then connect them using s-video (for the video) and the separate left and right (white and red) audio cables. And once you set up IR transmitter your PC remote will be able to control the direcTV box.
