Update error message 0X8DDD0003
I am having problems recieving windows updates, each time I click on to
updates I recieve error message 0X8DDD0003.
I have tried turning off my firewall but this has not made any difference.
The message says to contact administrator, my administrator says to try
microsoft support !
Any ideas ??

Hi Suzie B,
Have a look at this MSKB article:
"Windows Update was disabled by your system administrator" error message
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=326686
Doug Knox provides a d/loadable vbscript file that modifies the registry:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_d..._netpolicy.htm

Re: Update error message 0X8DDD0003
I tried Doug Knox's registry link and it worked. Other ways that I attempted fail. Thanks Doug.
