What exactly is the deal with SLI cards? Arent there are some kind of requirements as to how similar they need to be?
Both cards need to be exactly same, even the model, manufacturer, everything has to be same.Quote:

wouldn't your games be cpu bound anyway ? which restricts the power of your GPUs.
time for a cpu upgrade :)
hey, if you're in bangalore, can i drop by for a look.....pls pls pls pls
He is not in blore, so bad luck :P
and he has oced his rig to 2.7 gigz, what more do u want now? :ohyeah:
Darky,
Try to get one of these newer 8ms or 12ms refresh timing lcd monitors with DVI inputs. 17 or 19 inch ur choice. Viewsonic, samsung, lg should be good enough.
the image quality is breathtaking and no problems in games due to the low timmings.
it will just barely suit your "ancient" , "low cost" rig. hehe
seriously, ur's is one of the earliest sli rigs here in India. infact i doubt whether there will be more than double digit number sli rigs currently in India. :thumbup1:

hey tell me can ne two cards be installed in the sli mobo or its has to high end cards like 6800gt and x300 etc
the two cards MUST be having the PCI Express interface, must have the same clockspeeds (??) and must support SLI. You would have observed a small card kind of thing connecting the two cards. Theoretically, these are the only requirements, but as of now nvidia insists that the two cards must be of the exact same make too. but i've read in some places where people have had some success with cards of different brands (but both nvidia 4x chips).Quote:
