SBS 2003 Hung on " Applying computer settings"
I’m running a SBS 2003 SP1 since long time and everything was working fine until last night. There are 6 Windows Clients connected with this server. Yesterday when I shutdown the system, it was perfectly fine but today when I started it back, its been 2 hours SBS is stuck on "Applying computer settings."
We are not able to ping the server from workstations, neither connect/access the same nor use Outlook. Selected network connections & hour glass hung. It is not allowing me to select anything. I was not even able to shut down the server by pressing the button hence I needed to unplug the wire directly from the electric board. On the next restart, still the same.
Can anyone here help me with this?

Re: SBS 2003 Hung on " Applying computer settings"
I realize this an old thread, but had to reply to say "Thank you" for posting and allowing me to be able view this thread and resolve my issue. I could not figure out why the server was hanging at all. But you nailed on the head. I had installed the APC 6.2.2 and it failed with agent install and hung on create service. So I rebooted after installing some MS updates and left for the evening. The second moral, Do not reboot without waiting for the logon screen!
