msiexec.exe Application Error "The instruction at "0x00f33fe8" referenced memory at "0x00f33fe8". The memory could not be "written"."
I am getting a error when I try to install a new software on my laptop. I am using a Dell laptop that has Windows XP SP2 installed. I had added all new patches and updates on it. It looks to be working fine and there is no problem with configuration. I had also tried to install the same with admin rights. But still the error appears and the installation fails. The error is -- msiexec.exe Application Error "The instruction at "0x00f33fe8" referenced memory at "0x00f33fe8". The memory could not be "written".". Does anyone has idea why this error appears and how can I fix it. Thanks

When I am trying to save as or close the application then I am getting an error that says "Application error, the refrenced memory could not be written...". I have already tried to reinstall the application and changed the memory but still the problem persist on my computer. Is there anyone who can help me out? Thanks

There might be some problem with the Folders.dbx file. What you can do is open Windows Explorer and then go to Tools > Folder Options > View Tab. After that select "Show hidden files and folders" and then uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types". After that click apply and ok and then the files will now be visible in Windows Explorer. Search for the folders.dbx and rename it to folders.old and now start Outlook Express.
