SBS 2003 NTBackup (Shadow Copy) issue

My scheduled ntbackup event has started failing and i am receiving VSS errors, here are two Event Log errors of the system.

What can i do to fix this errors???

I have searched about the same and have found that the mentioned event occurs when Open File Support (OFS) is enabled within Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Client Version 5.2. In that case you will have to perform a clean boot, you can follow below steps for performing a clean boot.

• Go to start > Run > type "msconfig" without quote and click on OK.
• In new windows select "Selective Startup" and uncheck "Load Startup Items" and on "Services" tab simply click on Enable All.
• After making the above changes you can check "Hide all Microsoft Services" option and click on "disable all" and clear "Hide all Microsoft Services".
• Just make sure that you are saving the changes by clicking on ok and you are restarting your system as well.

You can try out what Landon has mentioned but if same problem continues then you can install below hotfixes:
A Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) update package is available for Windows
Server 2003
Time-out errors occur in Volume Shadow Copy service writers, and shadow copies are lost during backup and during times when there are high levels of input/output
Error 800423f4 appears in the backup log file when you back up a volume by using the Volume Shadow Copy service in Windows Server 2003

This has been a common issue with those who have applied the SBS SP1 update. So if you are amongst them then you will have to install above hotfixes to fix the error.
