Hi, am having a very short query regarding my windows 98. Hope you guys will help me out fixing the same. Yesterday while performing windows update, suddenly I encountered the following error:

“Error code 80070017”

Somebody please help me out fixing the same.

Most probably there must be some files corrupted on your system or hard drive that is causing the problem. You should run to tests: First System file checker. Go to Start > Run and type sfc / scannow. Press enter. Once done, go to run and type chkdsk, press enter and restart the computer. Let the system check for any errors on your hard drive. ocne done and booted to desktop, run windows update again. Hopefully you wont be getting any error now.
