Is Antec 620W PSU enough for Nvidia GTX 295
I have a computer build which is running with Antec 620Watts Power Supply. I am using an old HD 4870 graphics card which is running properly on my config. Now one of my friend is not using his Nvidia GTX 295 graphics card, so I am planning to get it from him. I am wondering if my Antec 620W PSU would be enough to support this second hand GTX 295 video card. I know that I will have to remove all the amd drivers first and then remove the AMD card and then install the nvidia card and install its driver. But I am worrying about the power that it needs. Thanks

From what I have read on Nvidia webiste, the GTX 295 graphics card requires a minimum of 680Watt power supply. But since its a Antec 620W psu so it would be decent enough to run the video card without much problem. You will need to just be aware that while overclocking the card to some extent it doesnt cause any problems. Apart from that I dont think there would be any problem running the card with this antec psu.

As you are using a single Nvidia GTX 275 card then looking at the CPU and PSU side, you will have a balanced system with no need to further upgradation anymore. But if you are going to use 2 graphics card in SLI then you will have to get a better power supply atleast 800watts. Just keep in mind that the power supply has the proper 2x6 pin connectors that is required to connect this video card.
Re: Is Antec 620W PSU enough for Nvidia GTX 295
Antec is a good power supply brand with quality control and good power wattage. Most of the other unbranded cheap PSUs do not give their rated power and also lack safety functions. So, the Antec 620W would be enough to run a single Nvidia GTX 295 graphics card, you will not require more wattage than this. While you are gaming you should also note that your case has a decent airflow because the temperature will increase, so stock cooling would be not sufficient.
