Is there any manufacturer selling 100TB hard drive
The maximum hard drive size that I can see today is 3TB. There are some who are also selling 4TB. But 2TB and 3TB is the most common one. I had seen in some news that 100TB is the max size which will be coming up soon on the market. This would be the best high storage hard drive. And it will also be very costly. But yet there is no detailed information. I hope this might come out in the few couple of years. This can be a good upgrade option for file server system. Does anyone knows the exact time of such drives release.
Re: Is there any manufacturer selling 100TB hard drive
Its a long road. It is going to take time. Manufacturers are working on a new hard disk recording techniques. This will allow users to shift from small to very high storage. The maximum storage drive that you can find is 10TB. This are exclusive drives. It might take more than 10years to get a 100TB drive in a affordable cost. This capacity is achievable. But it can be done through a new kind of techniques called as laser-assisted recording. Drive capacities will obviously get boosted in future. But there is a long waiting list.

Technology is going to expand more and more and there will be better evolution in storage also. This is going to put a great impact on the capacity of hard drives. There are old type of recording technology used that limit the drive storage. With development in new technique soon the capacity will be boosted 10 times higher. It is in news that Seagate is working on such thing. And this will help to get more high storage at a affordable cost. But yet there is no detailed information on the same. Even 4TB drives are not easily available today.
