Antec HCG-620 PSU for Radeon R9 290 and FX-8350?
I recently ordered a new computer build for myself and it includes components such as Amd FX-8350 CPU, Radeon R9 290 graphics card, 8gb RAM and Asus motherboard. Now for the Power Supply I am confused which one to buy? If I will be overclocking the CPU then will the Antec HCG-620 Power Supply be enough? If this psu is not enough to run an overclocked CPU then what else can you all suggest for the best power supply? Thanks

The Antec High Current Gamer 620W that you have selected is a good brand power supply. The only issue there may be the fan speed that will make some noise at full load. As per the PSU wattage is concerned, there is no need to take any tension, you will be fine. There are many online website that you can search on google to put your system configuration and check its reliability. Even if you are going to overclock your CPU there will be no issue.

The power supply that you have is not having over temperature protection and it is not rated at 50 degrees. As for the positive side, it has all japanese capacitors. You will be fine with that power supply if you stick with running only 1 graphics card on your computer build. The Antec HCG-650 is made from the Seasonic brand as well. I dont know whether Antec has replacement policy and not repair policy though.

The Radeon R9 290 graphics card is quite powerful and even though if the Antec HCG-650watt power supply supports this video card, still there will be a little concern when you will be overclocking the Amd FX-8350 CPU. While overclocking the CPU will utilize the full power of the PSU and it will run at maximum limit. So, if you are considering to overclock your CPU with the high end card then I would advice you to get atleast a 750w power supply.
