power supply for Gigabyte R9 290
I am having a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 with FX8320 CPU along with Gigabyte R9 290 graphics card. I was using the Corsair 750Watt Power Supply which recently died. So, I am now looking to buy a new PSU that will give enough power to all the hardware components that I have listed. Please suggest me some good PSU that will run the system stable without any booting issues or so. Thanks
Re: power supply for Gigabyte R9 290
I would suggest you to go with the EVGA New Version SuperNOVA 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 750W Power Supply which will cost you only 80$ approximately. I am using this PSU from quite some time and I easily installed it in my Coolermaster cabinet. This is a semi-modular PSu with good velcro straps that will make things to look nice and clean inside. The power supply is also very quiet compared to my other Thermaltake PSU which died after 2 years.
Re: power supply for Gigabyte R9 290
Have a look at the Antec HCG-750M power supply as well. Since it is a 80+ Bronze certified you can trust it to be very powerful and good power supply. This PSU is also modular and it includes many modular cables as well. You can use it without any problems and it is also very stable. You can also turn the fans lights on and off whenever you want. The best part about this psu is that it comes with many 6 and 8 pin graphics card power connectors for both 12v rails.
Re: power supply for Gigabyte R9 290
The best power supply in the market would be SeaSonic M12II 750 Watts. All other brands like Antec, EVGA, Corsair, etc; are also nice but Seasonic is one of the very few honest manufacturer of Power Supply. This PSU also comes with 5 years warranty. The last one that I was using from the same brand lasted for 6 years or so. The Seasonic power supplies are highly regulated and it protects the computer from any power surges or power fluctuations also.
