Antec VP450 or Corsair CX430 V2 power supply
I am using an AMD processor on my Asus M5A97 motherboard with 2gb of RAM. I am looking to buy a budget power supply for my computer system. So, I was looking at the Antec VP450 or the Corsair CX430 V2 power supply which is coming in my budget. I want to know which among these two psu will be best in durability and also having good capacitors. The place where I live is somewhat hot and humid in climate. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you
Re: Antec VP450 or Corsair CX430 V2 power supply
I would suggest you to go for the Seasonic SS400BT power supply which will cost you less than 50 dollars. It comes with 3 year warranty and enough current on the 12V rail. It also has 2 PCIe connectors and because of this you can use any graphics card with this PSU without any issues. Since the rest of your build seems really low power so it should be able to support the GPU quite easily. The 120mm fan also doesnt make a lot of noise but a little bit at high usage.
Re: Antec VP450 or Corsair CX430 V2 power supply
The Antec VP450 watt power supply is a higher quality PSU compared to the Corsair CX series PSU that uses poor capacitors. I am using the Antec Basiq 450W power supply in my other computer which was purchased by me last year and till now it is still working flawlessly without any real problems. The best part about this psu is that it is very reliable and quiet. I am powering my AMD processor along with GTX 500 series graphics card with no power issues at all.

Antec VP-450 450W power supply has everything oneself is looking for a basic gaming computer as well. I am using this Power Supply from last 2 years and it is still running cool and quiet. This is a highly recommended PSU I should say. I had actually installed it in a work computer which is also used for gaming purpose. The dual rails on this psu is a+ rated. The Antec brand has always delivered high quality product and this PSU is not exception in the list so far.
