Those on slow network will have a bit issue in receiving images, videos and audio message. This will be slower.

Viber works fine. It does not slow down your phone. Call quality is good if you have a good internet speed. I had tested this on 2G also which takes a bit time to receive audio message and images. Compared to other chat messenger apps, Viber has many things. It is fast and offers you to send sms and make calls to non Viber users also. It is more than a chatting app. You can connect your Facebook and Twitter account with it. The best part here is that you can instantly share your location with your friends and family. Viber reads and imports your phone contacts instantly. It notifies you numbers which are using Viber. For slow network it is recommended that you avoid sharing sticker, audio and videos. Simple chat will be effective.

Viber for Desktop:

Viber comes for Windows, Mac and Linux. Being cross platform software you can use it easily on your system. You can instantly transfer a call to your pc from the dialer menu. The call will be instantly transferred to the pc paired with your device. It works really well. There is no other communication app available that offer you this feature. You have to use a separate version for Desktop and Phone. But Viber mixes this both things. With single account you can manage both platforms.

I used Viber for voice calling it really great. Clarity is awesome. But it doesn't connect everytime you want. Getting connected someone is bit difficult.

I loved Viber and used it for a very long time till my slow speed internet the voice calls started breaking! :/ Then I switched on to Photo4tune which is an amazing alternative and is available for download on Playstore!
