screen flickering issue with Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X
I have recently bought a new Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X graphics card and every now and then I am having the screen flickering issue. The screen will usually shake up and down randomly when I am either watching movies or using browsers like Internet Explorer or Firefox or Chrome. I have heard that there is a vbios available to solve this issue but I cannot find anything related to it. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks

There are many people who are facing this issue and some guy from the amd website had emailed Gigabyte about this problem. He was given a new F2 bios that you can download from the below link. First you will need to download the Gigabyte VGA@BIOS tool from this link - http://www.gigabyte.com/support-down...lity.aspx?cg=3 and after that you need to get the GV-R927XOC-2GD BIOS (F2) from this link - http://docs.google.com/file/d/0Byw67...=sharing&pli=1.
Re: screen flickering issue with Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X
There was a AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.5 Driver for Windows released earlier which resolves the problem of AMD Overdrive missing in the AMD Catalyst Control Center for the AMD Radeon R9 290 Series graphics cards. It also resolves the intermittent flickering seen on some AMD Radeon R9 270x graphics cards as well as graphics corruption seen in Starcraft. You can download the same driver from the official AMD website.
Re: screen flickering issue with Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X
I had other Gigabyte model graphics card and when I updated to the amd driver version 13.12 then I started getting the flickering problem as well. For troubleshooting I also left the computer all alone and to my surprise the monitor was not coming back from standby at all. So, i went to the gigabyte website and downloaded one of their latest driver version 12.101.2 for my card and install it. Immediatly the flickering problem got resolved.
