unable to install KB2919355 update on Windows 8.1
I am running Windows 8.1 64bit on my computer with Media Center. I was trying to download and install all the recommended updates on my pc but when I am trying to install the KB2919355 update then after a restart and 50% completion of the update, it started giving me error code 800F0092. So, I again started the to update the same KB but everytime the update was getting failed. Can anyone tell me how do I solve this error message? Thanks

There seems to be a known issue with this KB2919355 update and many people are not able to install it in their machine properly. To solve this issue you can try to install the same update by downloading it manually from the Microsoft Download Center. For 32bit Windows 8.1, you can download this update from this link - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=42327 and for 64bit version of Windows 8.1, download it from this url - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=42335.
Re: unable to install KB2919355 update on Windows 8.1
If the above solution doesnt work then try to open command prompt in administrator mode and then enter the below command into the CMD box and then press Enter for your 64bit Windows 8.1:
dism /online /remove-package /packagename:Package_for_KB2919355~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.14
After that enter the below commands also and then press Enter key after each command:
type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and then press Enter key
type dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup and then press Enter Key.
Once you have done that then try to run Windows Update again and reinstall the KB2919355 update in your pc.

Can you try to enable the Built-in Administrator account and then check if it works for you. To do that press the Windows and X key together on the desktop screen. After that open Command Prompt in admin mode. Now type net user administrator /active: yes in cmd to enable built-in admin. After that try to do a SFC scan. To do that press Windows key + Q key on your keyboard to open Charms bar. Then type CMD in search box and then right click on the cmd and select Run as Administrator. After that type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Once it is done then try to install the patch again.
