Unable to ping Google Public DNS from my router
I do not know what happen to my system I am having a bit issue with my internet connection. I have a lan cable that comes directly from the internet provider. I had connected that to my Dlink router. After that the internet gets disconnected with limited connectivity error. And the net stops. I tried adding Google Public DNS but it is not working. I am not able to ping it also.
Re: Unable to ping Google Public DNS from my router
Can be issue with the router. You are hooked on IPv6 and due to which you are unable to make changes. You have to contact your ISP for that and complain him about the internet connection. If it is not working tell him to give you different connection. There can be problem with the cable line also which comes to your home from the ISP.
Re: Unable to ping Google Public DNS from my router
Try to ping the router first. If you are getting response then it is fine. The second thing you have to do is locate the IP details of your system. You can do that by typing ipconfig /all command in cmd. You will get a report which will have all internet details. See what dns settings are configured. Ping that DNS IP. You might not get that if you are on IPv6.

The first thing you must do is contact your ISP. Tell him about your problem. I was having a wireless connection at my home and I always face issue with this. The internet works well for few hours but then breaks in between. It was so annoying. I replace the router and till now the connection looks to be stable. You have to check once by replacing the router or modem.
