Antec HCG 750w for AMD FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290x
I have an old computer on which I am using Antec High Current Gamer 750watt power supply. I am now looking to build a new PC with Amd FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290 video card. I was wondering if I can use the same power supply for the new build, will it be enough to handle the CPU and GPU both a time? Or else do I need to buy some other power supply for this components? Thanks

Well, I think that the Antec High Current Gamer 750w is more than sufficient to run both the Amd FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290 video card. Even if you buy a Power Supply of 600 watt then it will be sufficient. Antec power supplies are build with good capacitors and you can expect it to last for around 5-6 years without any problems.
Re: Antec HCG 750w for AMD FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290x
Are you going to overclock your AMD FX-9590 processor to 5ghz+. If yes then you will need a good power supply atleast 850 watt. Amd CPUs and graphics card are very power hungry and the cpu alone might use 300+ watts after overclocking. If you dont want to overclock then better use the same Antec HCG 750 series power supply that you have.
Re: Antec HCG 750w for AMD FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290x
Since both AMD FX-9590 and Radeon R9 290X utilize ample of powers so it will be better if you can get power supply above 750 watts because the Antec HCG 750watts can be considered as the minimum for this configuration. But if you want then you can still use the Antec 750w because it has combined +12 Volt continuous current rating to support the processor and graphics card.
