HD 7970 with Antec High Current Gamer 620W
I am looking to upgrade to a Radeon HD 7970 video card. I think for this card I also need to have a good power supply. So I was thinking of buying the Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply but will it be enough to run this beasty graphics card? I think that this card needs a 8 pin connector, so will I get this in the PSU? Thanks

The Antec High Current Gamer 620W power supply will be more than enough for a HD 7970 video card. Additionally you will also get a two 6+2 pin connectors on the power supply. With this video card you will surely see a nice performance. But what processor are you using, can you let us know if you are planning to overclock as well?

I am using a CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W PSU which is working great from last 2 years. It runs very solidly and also looks very nice in the computer cabinet. You also get a good warranty and decent support for this power supply. These power supply are very affordable and stable as well. It is very silent and gives minimal noise.

Even if you get a SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Power Supply then it will be enough for you. This PSU is Semi Modular and comes with 5 year Warranty. This is a very good power supply and can easily support 2 graphics card. It runs very quiet as well. The Gold efficiency is also a very big plus for this psu. The 120mm fan is also user replaceable.
