ASRock G41C-GS with Kingston HyperX RAM
I am using an Asrock G41C-GS motherboard and as per its technical specifications it can support a dual channel DDR3/DDR2 RAM of 1333mhz maximum. Also I can use upto 8gb memory in this motherboard, so I was thinking of buying the Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB RAM for it. Does anyone know if this memory is supported with this motherboard? Thanks
Re: ASRock G41C-GS with Kingston HyperX RAM
I have heard that the Kingston HyperX Blu memory works at a maximum of 1600mhz and since your mobo is limited to output at 1300mhz only then you wont be getting the full output from this RAM. But in any case, there is nothing to do with the speed of the RAM even if it will not give the optimal performance from the RAM.
Re: ASRock G41C-GS with Kingston HyperX RAM
Yes, the Kingston HyperX Blu RAM will work fine with your Asrock G41C-GS motherboard. However, as said above, if the RAM speed is of 1600mhz then you will only get a speed of the RAM at about 1300mhz in your motherboard because the mobo is limited for running RAM at same speed. I dont know for sure but you can try to overclock your system and give it a try to run the RAM at its maximum speed and see if that works.
Re: ASRock G41C-GS with Kingston HyperX RAM
So, I bought the RAM and installed it only to find that it is not working. When I turn on my computer then the light on the monitor will just blink and then nothing happens. I have even tried to reset the CMOS and adjusted the jumper as written inthe manual but still nothing. I also dont think that it is a bad RAM but if nothing works for me then I will have to sell it asap.
