Kingston Datatraveler read/write very slow
Previously I was using Kingston Datatraveller 32gb pen drive and I thought it was slow so I bought a new 64gb of the same brand. But after when I connected it to my computr then I noticed that when it was reading or writing files on it then I found this pen drive very slow as compared to the old one? How can this be possible if this pen drive was an advanced version? Any ideas
Re: Kingston Datatraveler read/write very slow
Kingston Datatraveler are the worst flash drives from Kingston manufacturers. There is no read and write claim given by the company althought its sequential write speed is only 9mbps and the write speed is even worse of only 0.46mbps. Most of the Usb 2.0 flash drives are much more faster than this drive. You should change the drive if you can and get the usb 3.0 drive if possible.
Re: Kingston Datatraveler read/write very slow
What is the model number of the Kingston Datatraveler that you have? If they are old then those might be the usb 2.0 flash drives that has a write speed of only 5m/s. So, basically if you are able to return it then get yourself other USB 3.0 drives which will give you read speed of atleast 70m/s and write speed of 30m/s at the same cost as well.
Re: Kingston Datatraveler read/write very slow
Even I was using the Kingston Datatraveler flash drive and found it to be pretty slow. I was only getting 4mbps write speed with a 19 read speed. I wouldnt call it pretty slow since I am using it for storing only some important files. I have also bought a new SanDisk flash drive which is working amazingly faster than the Kingston Datatraveler drives.
