I am planning to buy a new gaming computer with Haswell processor and dual graphics card. So, I think that atleast a 1000W power supply would be sufficient for it. After searching alot, I came up with 2 PSUs that seemed to be quite good. So, can anyone tell me which one among the Antec HCP-1000W or the XFX Pro Series 1kW Black Edition PSU should I choose? Thanks.
I would recommend you to go with the Antec HCP-1000W. The products of the Antec company cannot go wrong and it is well known for its Power Supply brands. Antec HCP-1000W also scores 9.5 if you compare it with XFX Pro Series 1000W Power Supply that scores somewhat less in test reviews. Also, the price difference is not that much comaparing both the PSU's.
Well, if you can take look at the Seasonic 1000w 80PLUS Platinum PSU then it is quite better among the rest. It has got good quality. The cooling fans are also very quiet and if compared with XFX then Seasonic 1000w has got better build quality. Also the best part about this power supply is that you get a warranty of 7 years where else you will get only 5 years warranty with Xfx Pro Series 1000W Power Supply.
Well, if you go with the Seasonic 1000w 80PLUS Platinum PSU then it definitely shows higher quality than then XFX and Antec but it might have not enough power capacity like the Antec ones does. And therefore you pay more for the Antec PSUs. Or else you can go with the Kingwin LZP-1000 PSU that has super build quality. It will also cost less than the Antec or Xfx PSUs.
