Logitech WebCam Pro 9000 black screen problem in Windows 7 64bit
I am using Asus motherboard with i5 core Processor and running Windows 7 64bit on this system. I am also using nvidia 500 series graphics card along with this system. When I am using the WebCam Pro 9000 in my computer then I am just getting a black screen and nothing else. I have even tested Skype and Logitech software but sill nothing is working for me? In device manager, I can see that WebCam Pro 9000 is recognized without any yellow exclamation marks, so the driver seems fine. So, what other problem could be causing the webcam not to work? Thanks for any response.
Re: Logitech WebCam Pro 9000 black screen problem in Windows 7 64bit
Well, when I wa trying to install the logitech drivers for this same model webcam then I was getting an error message that was saying "this software isn't meant for your OS". So after researching hard on the internet I found out a way to install this file. I actually used the distributions disk which came with the QCP9000 and I copied it to a different hard drive volume and modified the setup.ini file's section in the Elevated folder from MaxVersion=6.0.9000 to MaxVersion=7.0.0000 and installed from the modified file set. After doing all this things, the installation went smoothly without any error under Windows 7 64bit and now the QuickCam and drivers are working fine.

Well, for me I downloaded and installed the LogiTech QuickCam Chat under my Windows 7 64bit edition operating system. What I did was, I just inserted the Setup CD and then browse through CD files and then right clicked on Setup application and then Run as administrator and then choose Vista. After that the software got installed and worked properly as well.
Re: Logitech WebCam Pro 9000 black screen problem in Windows 7 64bit
If the Pro 9000 webcam is detected in your computer properly, then there could be a problem with the hardware or the video card drivers in your computer. You said that you are not getting an image on your computer, but can you also confirm that the person on the other end is able to see you. If they are able to see you then you will have to update the video card drivers or check if its working properly or not.
