Gigabyte E350N not upgradable?
Hi,
I recently came across your Gigabyte E350N Review from here - http://www.techarena.in/review/25686....htm/page/0/2/ and after reading the article I found out that you have written that the board in not upgradable in the Cons? What do you mean by saying that the it is "not upgradable"? The reason I am asking this question is because I am looking to buy a new motherboard and if this board is good then I will go for it. Or else can you suggest me some good budget motherboards? Thanks
Re: Gigabyte E350N not upgradable?
Actually, what he meant in the review was that the APU, which is the mixer of cpu + gpu onboard, cannot be upgraded as per my guess and only AMD might be knowing about how to upgrade it. So, you will have to contact AMD manufacturer if the APU can be upgraded on Gigabyte E350N motherboard. Rest things like RAM, graphics card, etc; on this motherboard.
Re: Gigabyte E350N not upgradable?
Yes, the Gigabyte E350N has a built-in APU that contains a AMD E-350 Dual-Core processor as well as an AMD Radeon HD 6310 (DirectX 11) graphics core. The best part about this onboard functions is that you dont need to install another graphics card on your board, which is built-in already. Also, if you want to add another graphics card in this board then you can install it and the APU will configure and disable the onboard graphics automatically.
Re: Gigabyte E350N not upgradable?
The Gigabyte E350N is the best motherboard for Media server pc's and also it has usb 3.0 support, which is backward compatible to usb 2.0 as well. You will also not regret to spend on this mini motherboard rather than buying a full size motherboard that occupies much space in the computer cabinets. As for the onboard APU, I dont think you can upgrade the same with a new CPU or something other.
