Multiple funding sources on MS Project
Hello,
Most of the activities in our schedule are funded from a single source so we can analyse any exceptions outside the system. However, I've been asked to see whether we could add this information into the schedule for some activities so that rather than design 'x' having a gross cost of £100k, it has £20k from funder 1, £30k from funder 2 and £50k from funder 3, all adding up to the same figure but letting you look at the funding profiles across multiple schemes for each funder.
Is this possible in MS Project 2007 / MS Project 2010?
Thanks,
Matt.
Re: Multiple funding sources on MS Project
If you are not using work resources, you could certainly create three cost resources and assign them to the tasks noting each funding line. You can then save the baseline and record actual costs as needed. However, do not mix cost resources and work resource together on tasks.
