ADATA DashDrive Elite HE720 vs ADATA DashDrive Durable HD710

Today we will compare two external hard drive provided by ADATA.

The first one belongs to Elite series which promises style and the second belongs to Durable series which promise power.

Here HE720 belongs to Elite Series and HE710 belongs to Durable series.
Both offers a 2.5" Extenral Hard drive Interface with USB 3.0 controller. The performance of both drive’s are same.

Elite series is designed to give mobility with style. You can see a nice scratch resistance body and ultra -slim design, which makes this external hard drive more attractive. If you are not aware, then ill like to inform you that, it is world’s slimmest hard drive yet available. It has mirror polish in between with usb 3.0 connector at the end along with a backup button. One can simply backup their data by pressing it.

Durable series is designed to survive in extreme conditions. The drives under this series are shock proof and waterproof. The body is enough powerful to survive a 4 foot fall and water accident. It doesn’t have a backup button provide.

Elite HE720 is much thinner compared to Durable HD710 --

Elite HE720 has a nice stainless steel body. While Durable HD710 has a tougher body with rubber like coating on top it has a packed enclosure below that as well. Elite HE720 is not shock proof nor water proof. It is thin but vulnerable to fail if dropped. Durable HD710 can survive shock and water both.

You can easily carry Elite HE720 in your pocket. Durable HD710 is bigger is size. You can carry it in your bag.

Elite HE720 is a bit slippery if not handled with care. Durable HD710 gives a very firm grip.

Elite HE720 has no cable management design. Durable HD710 has a nice cable management option integrated with the design that holds the usb cable firmly.

Elite HE720 is very stylish and trendy. At first sight it looks very attractive. Durable HD710 is bulky and bigger in size. Its design reflects more durability rather than style.
